Rating: M
Genre: Romance/Hurt/Comfort
Characters: Edward/Bella
Summary: Edward has sheltered himself from the world with his memories, pain and repetition. Bella breaks through his walls, reminding him what it means to live, but can he allow himself to let go? A/H angsty at times
When Edward Cullen lost all he held dear three years ago, he never thought he’d ever be happy again. In fact, he believed he never wanted to ever be happy again. One day as he is walking home from work, some colorful scarfs draw him into a small storefront where a beautiful girl renders him breathless at first sight.
My Place in Line is an emotionally gripping tale that captures readers with the very first chapter and refuses to let go. Swimom7 shares with us one of the best and most realistic incarnations of Edward I’ve ever had the privilege to read. The first person narrative takes us inside his head and through his pain and loss and his hope for the future. The most remarkable part of this tale is feeling completely pulled in by Edward’s cautious, but determined nature as he sets about moving forward with a life he once believed to be over.
The rest of the Cullen clan feature in this entertaining tale as they surround and support Edward and Bella. Mostly canon couples, with the addition of Seth, as Bella’s younger brother, and Jane, as Jasper’s younger sister, round out a story that is emotionally engaging with beautifully light moments scattered about. To indulge in some truly great storytelling, remember to add My Place in Line by Swimom7 to your story alerts!
